AVANT-GARDE EROTIC PHOTOGRAPHY

Multidisciplinarnim pristupom analizira se kompleksnost ideološke i perceptivne produkcije erotske avangardne fotografije, pre svega dadaizma i nadrealizma. Identifikacija žene i njene erotičnosti u sistemu avangardne reprezentacije prati ideje o ženskom telu i odnosu žene naspram avangardne ideološke konstrukcije. Erotska fotografija u delima avangarde prvenstveno se ogleda u destrukciji dominantnih perceptivnih predstava, kao i u preispitivanju vizuelnih ideoloških formalnih i tematskih elemenata. Fotografski univerzum “epohe spavanja” sublimira erotizam kao konstitutivni element nadrealističkog pokreta. Halucinantna fantazija nadrealista, Nikole Vuča i Vana Bora, demaskira stvarnost tako što transfiguriše vizuelne kodove reflektujući nesvesna i seksualna ograničenja i provocirajući građanske moralne norme. Nadrealistička erotska fotografija počiva na modelu subverzivne seksualnosti u okvirima desadovskog sveta.

TRUTH FROM THE MACHINE

The world of multiplying products which machinery from the Industrial Revolution brought about among other things, a machine whose main task in the future will be – to work with our shadows. Writing with light (photographs) in fact cannot exist without the sun / light and shadows. Hence, photography deals with researching shadows that the technical aid has left to us. At the entrance to the modern European game of shadows, concepts such as heliography, daguerreotypes, talbotization are properly elevated … They testify to the desire of the creators of individual techniques to attain eternity by means of technical devices that they invented. People came to see Daguerre’s dioramas, Don Slater says, “to see the re-creation of the real, and not merely an image of reality”. It’s as if God has once again found a way to show himself from the machine. The human need for meaning has gained a new partner. No illusion is more convincing than the one that is the result of precise, predictable, scientifically substantiated – machine steps. The text is intended to reflect on the following: What happened to the Truth after the appearance of photography?

WHAT IS THE POINT OF PHILOSOPHY / IF IT ISN’T PHILOSOPHY / OF THE MEDIA

The title of the paper suggests several dimensions of questioning the meaning of the philosophy of media. The first level includes the text which questions the reasons for the existence of philosophy itself (Adorno, Habermas, Heidegger …). The second level initiates the question: What is the point of philosophy if it isn’t philosophy, is the level of questioning philosophy in relation to dimensions outside of the realm of philosophy that have influenced it throughout history. The third level examines the importance and necessity of precisely those methods and approaches developed by the great achievements of thinkers, who we consider (some more, some less) essential to the philosophy of media.
