MOVEMENT AS A STATE OF SHAPE

As primary material in sculpture, clay is not only significant but is also considered constant and archetypal. During my research I have sought opportunities that clay provides with movements in all directions, for a study of the human body. The infinity of human body movements and the infinite possibilities of clay, inspire me to create drawings which can be seen on the walls of my studio. I also draw on the simulacrum of wall surfaces which I plaster, glue, cover and combine, using clay interactively with the drawings. Later the clay goes to air-firing and highly sintered clay gets red as well as the drawings, so that this monochrome corresponds to my research approach. For an optimal expression of certain forms, it is very important to know the properties of the material and its capacities in terms of my research work. Clay is suitable for use in civil engineering, ceramics industry and sintering processes. A large number of small figures which I made were always capturing a different movement. Some of them were subject to duplication and repetition and most importantly, all these moving figures were influenced by the fact that they were part of my presentation/exhibition. Figures were presented on a square surface, (2x2m) in horizontal position. There were 500 figures displayed on the surface, placed closely next to each other. In the fourth year of my undergraduate studies, this art piece received an award of the “Stanišić” Foundry.

SELF-INTEREST AND MORAL MOTIVATIONS OF BELIEVERS

In this paper, I consider an important objection to moral motivation of believers. It is the objection that their acts are motivated by self-interest, i.e. their personal salvation. Such motivation is sometimes identified as selfish. Therefore, I demonstrate the distinction between self-interest and selfishness. I would like to remind the reader that the critique of self-interest as moral motivation of believers appears within the very traditions of the major world religions. Then, I argue that some contemporary forms of secular ethics, even at the highest levels, still refer to a certain form of self-interest.

THE SERBIAN THEATRE IN THE SOCIAL TRANSITION CONTEXT

The Beograd Center for Studies in Cultural Development conducted a large-scale research of the present-day Serbian theatre in 2009. Planned as a comprehensive overview of the present state of affairs in the Serbian theatres, the project implied data collection, a detailed analysis of operation, organization, production and ways of financing, as well as a projection of possible new and better models of functioning of both theatre system as a whole and individual theatres with the view of their achieving a better balance of desirable and possible.

In the present social moment the Serbian theatres are a very important segment of research in culture due to their functions, and the need for crucial and concrete reforms of their functioning stemming from the ongoing social changes.

ANNOUNCEMENT OF APOCALYPSE IN THE DISCOURSE OF MASS MEDIA

The paper tackles the discourse of mass media, which is becoming more aggressive in an attempt to transform even the banal news into sensational ones. As the images of violence, misfortune and death become more explicit, and people are informed about a number of pending catastrophes, media consumers increasingly seem to feel anxiety and fear, speculating about the predictions which might actually come true. The paper also features a research which explores the scope of the influence of mass media on the everyday life of the media consumers in Serbia.

In the concluding part of the paper the authors discuss a relatively new technology of QR codes, its emergnce and scope, its advantages and disadvantages. Its free use is highlighted as the most favourable for the further development of new marketing strategies. A description of some projects in this context facilitate the authors to provide for a more detailed explanation of the QR codes links with modern marketing.

ORGANIZATIONAL CULTURE OF ENTERPRENEURIAL ORGANIZATION

This paper aims to present the results of a comparative analysis of two entrepreneurial projects’ organizational cultures – The European Center for Culture and Debate, Grad, and The Youth Center Crna kuća – both of which established by non-governmental organizations. Having based our research on the projects’- organizations’ optimal action models, we have further attempted to draw guidelines for the management of entrepreneurial cultural and artistic or activist non-governmental organizations. The present analysis deals with six aspects of organizational cultures: their organizational structures, communication models, program policies, values, and motivational methods.
